It's an odd life

Going to work is walking downstairs to my office. The only people other than my family that I see most days are the local post office staff. Most of my friends live at least 250 miles away. Phone calls to printers, shippers and bike owners are often interrupted by the kids fighting.

The upside? I regularly get to take my children out for a leisurely lunch when everyone else is rat-racing.

I won't ever regret spending so much time with them.

You got that right. I was a contractor and made time for every one of my son's basketball games and practices. I was usually driving other kids too. He's 26 and married now and he still remembers all the fun we had. It cost me some money because I couldn't fit as many jobs into each week but who cares? I'm still broke but I raised a great son who always knew that he was the most important part of my life and hopefully when he has kids he'll remember that and do the same. That's worth a lot more to me than a couple of bucks. I'd only spend them on bikes and my wife anyway...maybe not in that order. You sir are an awesome father and the world needs more real men like you. God bless you bro.
