The rubber bullets are coming.....next, the real thing maybe. It seems a possibility, personal freedoms stand a good chance of taking a battering, in the not too distant future.
Why is that you guy,s ? scared of some kid;s! I know it,s crap if your buisness is sacked ; But why are they doing it? :People in responsible position,s are not takeing the responsability and giving the youth,s a future;O and i fought for your! personal freedom in 82! so don,t take it personaly :It,s a global thing hopefully ; they can get orginised away from the looting and the energy toward,s the cops ACAB.
GooseGreen, I'm an advocate of keeping politics out of biking, but I got drawn in. I'm not anti-protest, but this wasn't a protest - this was looting and general badness. If it was a protest, what did a non-chain furniture shop have to do with it. They weren't breaking bank windows in protest at fat cats, they were looting Nikes from JD. These lads don't want a free pool table in the youth club, they don't want a job in Kwik-Fit fixing cars, they want to be 'gangsters'. I'm not saying they're beyond redeeming. And it's not about being scared of anything. But no one, not a single person is going to come out of this well, except the coppers who got the overtime. The areas in question might get a new youth club till some bored kid burns that down. This wasn't a protest gone bad it was young men out for a rumble. It happens all the time, just not on this scale. There's talk of opportunities. Fuck, if you can't get a job in London you don't want one. G

People's personal freedom to walk the streets without the threat of violence is taking a battering at the moment...
You're right Guy. Freedom to build up a small business only to have some kunt stick a petrol bomb through the window. G
