Very sad to hear this morning about the death of Poly Styrene from breast cancer at the age of just 53. She was one of my favourite people from the punk era, and X Ray Spex one of my favourite bands.
I met Poly when I recognised her singing Hare Krishna in a London Tube station in the mid 80's. She invited me and my mate back to her Krishna temple, I declined. She was fantastic and years ahead of her time.

I agree, she was one of my fave punk bands also. Gonna go and clean my teeth as a mark of respect!

Sad news she lived near me knew she wasn't well. But didn't realise it was that bad
Only just caught up with that. Kinda like a bit of my youth has gone.
